If the Democratic party does not make him our nominee, I believe the following will happen:
1. The new voters he attracted will not come out and vote for Hillary. Many of us will vote for Ralph Nader or not at all.
2. Black voters will not vote for Hillary. Many of us will vote for Ralph Nader or not at all.
3. Black voters will become even more skeptical of the Democratic party and finally look to start its own grass roots party whose intent is to be a bloc that must be courted by a major party then become a full-fledged third party.
4. Barack Obama will NOT join Hillary’s ticket as VP.
What the Clintons do not understand is that black people are accustomed to being thrown under the bus and, at best, being subject to this country’s policy of benign neglect. We can do what we have done in the past and simply vote against the Republican, but, like Sen. Obama said in his eloquent speech: Not this time.
